“Where does that powerful sound come from? It doesn’t seem possible… “ Is a common question asked in the audience, when petite, powerhouse Ashley Buchart takes the stage. “A passion for country music and the love of performing, I guess, or… maybe all the way up from my big toe! “ laughingly, responds Buchart.
She jokes, but actually was trained classically in Opera (Italian, French, and Spanish), Jazz, and Musical Theatre at the Denver School of the Arts. Although her passion for country music raised more than a few eyebrows from her vocal coaches, she knew what direction she planned to take her training and love of performing.
Convincing her parents to allow her to graduate early from DSA, and while attending college, pop-producer Tommy Cangemi (Mandy Moore – ‘Crush’, Willa Ford – ‘I Wanna Be Bad’, MOP, LFO and Rich Cronin of LFO) approached her to create her debut album ‘Trouble in a Pair of Shorts’. Its release in June of 2009 was just in time for her to perform select numbers at the Songwriters Festival in Nashville, TN. The album received great reviews and airplay on CO and surrounding states radio stations. “It was the start, and that’s when I really knew this is what I was meant to do!”
Only 18 years old, Ashley made the decision to jump shift from college to the next level and pursue her music full time. Her career as a country music artist needed total focus and energy, there was no looking back! Although she had been performing as a solo act since she was 14 in competitions, musicals, and small venues, it was time to be taken seriously . The next obvious step was to put together her own band of professional musicians and hit the road.
It all payed off and by August 2009, (two months later) her first professional gig was opening for National act, ‘Kingbilly’. “Being a professional singer with my own band, I look at as a ‘work in progress’, with all the ups and downs in the music industry. It’s never stagnant and still an adventure! I never know what will happen next, but always appreciate that it’s something to learn and build on!”
A short year later, after making a name for herself on the honky-tonk circuit, her talent caught the eye of Tyler Music Group in Nashville, TN. She teamed up with producer Will Smith to create her self-titled. E.P., ‘Ashley Buchart’.
“The E.P. was recorded in the world famous, Sound Emporium Studios, in Nashville, TN. It was mind blowing and an amazing experience! I’m so lucky to have worked with such a phenomenal group of musicians and sound engineers. They gave me a lot of insight into the business. Mostly, just stay the course, believe in yourself, and take the time to learn the ropes. You gotta pay your dues to be believed, and it’s hard work!" says Ashley.
She was thrilled when the E.P.’s first single, "Call it Gone,” received national airplay. The entire E.P. is available on ITunes and Amazon.
On the path to ‘paying her dues,’ eight short months later, Ashley signed on with national booking agent, Wayne Zank Enterprises. Touring all over the Mid-West/Western regions of the U.S opened new opportunities to grow exposure for the band. Touring is eye opening! Seeing the country, meeting new faces in new places was a new challenge to hone her skills as a performer.
“ It doesn’t seem like it’s just been a little over 2 years since starting the Ashley Buchart Band.” Ashley is proud to add, “The band is comprised with arguably the most talented musicians in the western region. Each player has his own extensive background in music - which translates on the stage as uniquely dynamic! We continue to fine-tune and add new numbers to our performance. It's important to us to provide something different every night to the already ‘high- energy’ show. The Ashley Buchart Band is an ever-changing ‘Wow!’ experience in country music!”
“We’ve had our ups and downs, but overall, I keep looking forward- learning and perfecting my craft. I guess I’m pretty lucky because I love what I do! I’ve been so fortunate to have overwhelming support, enthusiasm and feedback from my fans. It’s made taking the chance and living my dream as a country music singer all worthwhile!”

GUY ASH

GOLDFINGER
GUY ASH - LEAD GUITAR & VOCALS
Guy Ash was born and raised in the small town of Bridgeport in Southern Illinois. At age eight he began his guitar playing with his dad being his primary inspiration. He honed his skills during his early years while playing with his dad and cousins at family reunions and at church services, playing southern gospel tunes.
Once Guy began high school, he started a rock band with two of his cousins and some friends called, World in White. They had a good run releasing two full length albums, one of which was produced by former Brian Setzer Orchestra bassist, Robert Parr. After the band parted ways he kept busy writing and recording his own music and sitting in with various groups on stage and in the studio.
Then in 2009 he attended the Audio Engineering School in Ohio, to further his understanding of the production side of music. With his combined knowledge of the studio, years of guitar playing under his belt, and unyielding ambition, he set out to make music his profession. That journey led him to Denver, Colorado and the Ashley Buchart Band.
CALEB SWEET - BASS & VOCALS
Ever since watching Michael J Fox play "Johnny B Goode" music has been a huge part of Caleb's life. Starting out on guitar, he switched to bass at 14 and never looked back. He's played everything from jazz to ska to classical - but found his heart in country. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Caleb's excited to play with Ashley and crew, wherever it may take them.
GOLDFINGER - DRUMS
Shea Gold began playing the drums at age nine, back in 1989. Private lessons started and continued for years. Then came marching band, followed by college, where Shea studied under Rob James, made possible by a jazz vibraphone scholarship. It was in his college years that Shea began his teaching career as a mainstay at the Drum Center of Lexington in Lexington, Kentucky (www.drumcenteroflexington.com). He also propelled a popular funk'n'horn band, Inner Vision Collision, to regional fame (www.myspace.com/ivcband).
After earning his bachelor's degree in 2000 (Eastern Kentucky University), Shea left town for his first tour, forcefully backing up Arista Records recording artist Lennon (www.lennononline.com). It was during this time that Shea spent untold months on the road with national acts like The Cult (Beyond Good and Evil 06/01-08/01), Alice Cooper (Dragontown, 09/01-11/01) Buckcherry (Timebomb, 12/01-01/02), Tesla (Early 2002) and many others. It was also on this tour that Shea began relationships with several sponsors (Paiste, Johnny Rabb Drumsticks), including Attack Drumheads, a relationship that continues to this day.
After L.A. Reid, then president of Arista Records, decided that Shea's refined technique was not appropriate for the gig and that he should be fired, Shea adopted a groundbreaking new style literally overnight. With Tommy Clufetos (Rob Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne) as his inspiration, in the span of one day and one night, Shea brought his performance to an otherworldly level of aggressiveness and showmanship. As a result, Mr. Reid was impressed and Shea kept his job. The jazz drummer from Kentucky had now become Goldfinger.
After learning the ropes from the pros, Goldfinger forged on to back up Nashville rockers August Christopher (www.augustchristopher.com). This group's impressive list of achievements was accomplished through hard work and dedication, without the help of a label or management. These accomplishments include touring everywhere (including overseas), being featured on countless television shows (on HBO and ESPN to name a few), independent record sales in the tens of thousands and many others, For more details, please visit the website.
Goldfinger then went on to prove that country doesn't rock---it slams!!! The group's name is Scarekrow, a passionate quartet that combines rock's aggressive rhythms with soulful country harmonies. Goldfinger toured nonstop fop two years with Scarekrow, and the group continues to perform throughout the continental U.S. While with Scarekrow, Golfdfinger teamed up with Po' Boy Drums in Littleton, Colorado (www.poboydrums.com), and Hornet Drumsticks (www.hornetsdrumsticks.com).
Goldfinger now lends his firm rhythmic expertise to the sultry country melodies of Colorado's Country Angel, Ashley Buchart.
